Can't see any picture. However a few years ago I had a dodgy freckle examined at the Mole Clinic (various locations). I went private as I assume I was just being worried well. It was a melanoma, and within 4 days I had seen a consultant who removed it. She said I was very lucky it was found whilst still in situ. Otherwise I could have been dead within two years.

In fairness the specialist nurse who first looked at it, and immediately spotted a potential problem, told me that despite looking at skin day-in day-out, she only saw about 4 each year.

(Since then I have had almost the full bingo card of skin cancers. I am pretty evangelical about getting skin checked.)

Ah picture came through. Skin specialist or good GP will have a special magnifying glass which will help them see more. Simple answer. It might be. If you are worried have it checked.

Also sorry to ask are melanomas usually on exposed parts of the skin? Thin is on the underside of my boob?

It's less common for them to be in unexposed areas, but they can be. My relative had one on the stomach.
