I’m confused. Why is Monisha Rajesh crying on instagram about the Kate Clanchy story being raised again if she took part in the BBC podcast?

Her account is private so I can’t see it - what’s she saying?

She’s made her account private now but she posted a film of herself crying and pleading for people not to contact her and to let the story about Kate Clanchy go. It’s on X.

Wasn't she one of the major architects of the pile on? Which Clanchy said nearly drove her to suicide? And which was clearly entirely unwarranted? Hmmmmm

Yes I read that piece and thought it was interesting, and correct. She’s deleted the crying post now anyway and replaced it with her and her dog. She’s deleted comments on the post too.

The woman is a deranged narcissist. That video was embarrassing beyond belief. Her behaviour during the Clanchy furore was cringe inducing and appalling. Sure take issue with the language in the book - but to call out someone else’s language then use the ‘c’ word all over your response seems…hypocritical at best.

I hadn't heard about this case until I read about the upcoming podcast and then saw The Times article about Kate Clanchy this weekend but it just sounds, to me, like someone who has got carried away in picking on somebody and is now fearful of potential repercussions.
I thought one interesting thing mentioned, in The Times, was a forensic analysis of the social media of all those involved. I wonder if that is frightening some of those involved?
