To think face creams should have something to seal them properly?

I bought some Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser cream from Boots. It came with no protective film packaging or security seal or tape.

When I opened it I found some purple contamination in the cream. Can't attach picture as its a new account. No idea what it is.

Do I complain to Boots?

AIBU to think face creams should have something to seal them properly?

You can either take it back to swap it or, and my preference would be, go on the LE website and contact customer services.
They are more likely to send packaging to return it so they can investigate what it actually is. Just in case the whole batch needs recalling or something. You never know, you may get an extra gift voucher for your trouble.
