I don’t think love just “fades.” I think people stop risking vulnerability once real life kicks in.

AIBU to think we mistake emotional fear for falling out of love?

Feelings are far too complex to distil them into whimsical Sex and the City-esque statements like that.

Realistically emotions are responses. Love is a response to a persons characteristics, behaviours and the environment you create with them. If you change the underlying conditions, the emotional response is going to change, too.
