DD has gotten her first ever call back for a role in a short film. Its a supporting role in a very small cast.

They have done 2 Zoom interviews and now want to meet her on Tuesday to see how the 'chemistry' is with other characters who have already been cast.

I enquired how many are auditioning for the role and including my DD there have narrowed it down to 3.

She is 10 and quite nervous. Any words of wisdom? Also the character wears quite distinctive clothes which we happen to have similar and wears her hair in two plaits. Would you go to audition with similar hairstyle/outfit choice?

I think prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Practice being the character and have fun. Personally I'd not go full costume, but a hint of it and possibly the plaits.

Good luck.

Thanks so much for your reply 🙂 yes Was thinking will do the plaits as she often wears her hair that way anyway, although they wouldnt know that of course!
I'm really hoping it goes her way but am playing it cool with her 😂

And also be careful. Make sure they are licencing her properly and sorting out the legal stuff.

It's very easy to get excited and bypass the checks that are there to keep your child safe.
