For being put off by all the instagrammers who get dressed online?

I don’t really know why it bothers me but I find it a bit weird that they are dressing while being filmed. I’m sure they used to magically zap the clothes on but now a lot start off in their underwear and put them on. Maybe to make it seem more real?

Jesus just dont watch this rubbish

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 01/11/2025 10:26

Just don't watch them

The ones that pop up for me are doing it to show their body type rather than how hot they are (but I am middle aged!)

Cartot · 01/11/2025 10:26

I have no idea why, on any level whatsoever, I would want to watch someone get dressed. Is life really that tedious that this now passes for entertainment?

Zov · 01/11/2025 10:26

Eh?

Mostly styling accounts on insta

For entertainment I guess you'd want only fans..

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 01/11/2025 10:27

You don’t have to watch them. Also, it’s nice sometimes to see real bodies that are more relatable.

Edinburghdaze · 01/11/2025 10:27

I am increasingly thinking I need to come off it as I just get irritated by the fact I am choosing to watch adverts and wasting my time!

It’s like Facebook - I knew when it gave me dark thoughts I shouldn’t be on it!

Personally I can't understand WHY someone would want to film themselves getting dressed and actually posting it on line. Unless their ego and delusions of self importanc are at such a level they no longer have any sense of rational behaviour .

But honestly the people who actually sit and watch this ridiculous spectacle and actually encourage these people to do what they do are even more risible.

Just why are you wasting your time watching it and then having the gall to complain about it?

Because I like fashion and like seeing clothes / shops but would rather just see the clothes. It’s been a gradual change and never used to be like this.

Well i can understand if you like fashion browsing clothes retailers online.

But I still don't understand watching " Instagrammers" .

Why feed into their inflated egos by caring about what they wear? Surely you make your own decisions about what you want to wear?

Edinburghdaze · 01/11/2025 11:01

If you follow certain shops and they wear them then I think they tag them so that they come up.

you are right tho. I need to stop!

Yes! And they never even wobble against the wall or put their jumper on inside out and back to front!

TheCurious0range · 02/11/2025 16:41

Your algorithm is very different to mine, today I watched a man catch a mole with his bare hands

Ivy888 · 02/11/2025 17:33

op, you’re seeing this because it’s what you watch and the algorithm is set for you to see more of it. Why are you watching something that irritates you?
Just stop watching it. Start watching cute christmas videos. Or maybe even better, stop scrolling and delete instagram.

FullOfMomsense · 02/11/2025 17:36

It's just a bit of fun? I'm not bothered by it in the slightest, I'd get dressed in front of anyone and I'm not scared of nudity so a fashion content creator showing their clothes doesn't bother me!

Astrabees · 02/11/2025 17:39

And another thing, why do they have to jiggle their shoes and clothes in front of themselves before they put them on?

NorthernMam20 · 02/11/2025 18:13

It doesn’t really bother me but I agree I don’t need to see girls in thongs putting jeans on. Styling is one thing but just being in your underwear to show the outfit is unnecessary for me. I also don’t care for the ones who grab their belly and wobble it to the camera 🤣

And once dressed do a back kick with a bent knee

Ireallywantadoughnut36 · 02/11/2025 19:27

It's weird and I hadn't really clocked it till this just popped up! I think it's to show their body type/that they're human, which I guess (in theory) shows the clothes doing some work. I do still quite like watching especially the ones who wear ordinary clothes like M and S/H and M - I often buy online as I'm so far from shops, and if it looks good on a size 12 curvy middle aged influencer then I can tell it'll work on my body too, which means I'm less likely to end up with returns. I can't imagine anything more mortifying than being in my pants on camera. I don't think Jenny Mogey does this, but I might be wrong... I think she just walks on and off magically changed!

arcticpandas · 02/11/2025 19:29

Never had Facebook, Instagram or any social media whatsoever. I think it just makes you stupid, superficial, anxious and unhappy.

ToKittyornottoKitty · 02/11/2025 19:29

I don’t see any videos like this because it’s not the sort of thing I’d watch and I don’t interact with them. Stop interacting with this videos and watching them and they will go away, simple!

PerkyCyanPoet · 02/11/2025 19:31

I know what you mean OP! I’m fed up too! Why must they be in their bra and pants all the time??

It’s not all the time if they are getting dressed is it? If you don’t like it, watch other videos

Ok then.. Why must they be in their bra and pants in every styling reel?? Is that better?

I watch the reels because I’m keen to see the end outfit. But if you can recommend some accounts that are fashiony/lifestyley but aren’t in their pants when they’re getting dressed, then let me know, I’d love to find some.

I don’t really understand why it bothers people to see someone in knickers and a bra. There’s nothing sexual about it. It’s not like they’re performing a lap dance.
