Asking people to not use fake cobwebs

Can I ask people to consider not using fake cobwebs in their gardens as a Halloween decoration. Firstly, they are really harmful to wildlife. Birds and other flying insects get caught in them and can’t easily disentangle themselves and secondly they are made out of plastics which are non biodegradable meaning they last forever.
Stick to actual pumpkins that animals can at least eat once you’re done with them.

I don't know why the government don't just immediately ban shit like this. All of these decorations that are there for Insta but that damage the environment; we've got to start turning the screw and sending a message to business world.

We don't want to buy stuff that costs our planet and so potentially, our lives.

Yes Halloween is particularly bad for it. I hate seeing cheap, nasty plastic decorations in the shops. Same with the polyester costumes.

We were given some v tacky Halloween hand me downs when our DC were tiny so just use those year after year or make our own with paper. My kids love trick or treating but the amount of plastic waste from sweet wrappers is insane.
