So I have been broke for a long time! And now finally…due to many changes in circumstances I am no longer broke, not broke in the slightest! However, and this is not a bragging post! Why is it when I was broke I would go online and see lots of lovely clothes that I would love to buy, and now that I can afford them…I don’t want them, I can’t justify it, they are very meh! I just want to go into a shop or go online and WANT EVERYTHING, but nope…nothing is even calling me slightly! What is that!?Anyone else?

It must be terrible to be fair….i mean you would have to have way more than enough money to justify spending.

Because you don't look properly when you're skint, you just think 'oh that's nice' and move onto the next thing, whereas when you're about to spend money you look a bit more and think 'oh but the shoulders are weird' or 'but those pockets aren't great'

Yeah maybe that’s it, but even looking at a cream jumper that I already have in black…I know it’s nice, I wear the black one all the time and I love it…but I just think “ah I don’t want it that bad!” If it was this time last year I would have wanted it!

How did you get rich?

I’m the same whenever I have a voucher. Last Christmas I was given a £200 voucher for a favourite shop. Can’t seem to spend it. Ridiculous.

Well I wouldn’t say I’m “rich” just a hell of a lot more comfortable! I got a promotion and a finally got divorced so got bought out of the family home.

You always want what you can't have. Now you can have it, you don't want it. It's one of life's conundrums.

BTW it also works with food! Give yourself permission to eat all the food and you'll find you no longer want to. I can't even remember the last time I ate a chocolate bar.

Perhaps you're just more content now and not looking for something to cheer you up.
