Teen boy recording DD on bus

My DD is in year 9. She took the bus home from school, as usual, in her uniform. She was sitting by the window and she said a boy in non uniform sat next to her on the bus. He apparently looked 2 years older. He had his phone on his lap with the camera facing up, and he tilted the phone as if trying to slyly record her.

What do I do? Report it? I don’t even know what the crime is except for making a young girl feel scared.

Anyone heard of stories like this? Abit worried.

Teach her that when hitting someone that she should punch through, and not to, the face.

More seriously (not that I am unserious about the above, both my daughters know that) if the boy is at the same school then I suggest that you get in touch with the head teacher and flag his behaviour as inappropriate.

I he is just a random stranger then, sadly, I am not sure that there really is much that you can do unless his behaviour crossed a legal line - which it doesn't sound like it did.

I agree. She didn’t recognise him at all. He didn’t have uniform so impossible to know which school he is from.

so strange.

Teach her not to be intimidated and get her some classes in self defense to gain confidence.

She doesn't know he actually was recording her - and even if he was, so what? Anyone can take a photo of people out on public can't they?
