Not coming home, but able to go karting….

Ok, so, am I being unreasonable about this, or should I give some slack?

My husband is part of a go-karting team (very local - they’re of going to win any major championships). We are in the Northwest of England. He said he’s going to be away with work at least Tuesday-Thursday with work south of Birmingham for his current project (Logistics Manager). However tonight he’s miraculously made it back for a race before going back to his work location. I am seething with rage… but am I being unreasonable to suggest he can’t be bothered to come back home for us (me +2xDD)?

Extra context: I have an executive-level job, have taken my eldest daughter with me to work today (with approval from the CEO -due to 2 week half term at her high school), taken youngest to Brownies after going to get supplies for a charity shoe box and done all the usual everyone would expect to do on a weekday with a 9 and 11 year old. Then I get an ‘oops’ type message to say he’s at karting (20 mins from home), but will then head back to work/hotel.

Am I out of touch or what? Please advise!

What a selfish twat!

Awfully selfish. Tell him to leave himself and his skid marks at the track and you want no more to do with him.

YABU - regular hobbies are hard to keep up with work commitments and sacrifices have to be made
