To ask for camera recommendations

This isn't an AIBU but can't work out where to put it!!

I really enjoy photography, have done for a number of years and recently decided to buy a camera and do a formal course. I'm not disillusioned and don't expect to make it a professional thing but really want to give it a good crack!

The courses that I have looked at say suitable for professional cameras but don't give any recommendations. Have done a lot of searching but just don't know what's best.

Any photographers out there that could give me a recommendation that would be amazing.

Budget of up to £800 if that helps!

Hi, there’s a ‘Tech’ board but everyone else posts here so why not?!

I was thinking about this today too. I want to replace my Nikon because its zoom lens is too noisy for the wildlife photography (birds) that I want to do in the future. It’s had a good innings with me, though.

What kind of photography are you keen on?

I'd probably start with a DSLR bought second hand from somewhere like CEX as you get a guarantee with them.

Wex photography is a good place for second hand cameras.
I have a Canon EOS 7D which I picked up from someone at the camera club I go to and find it suits all of my needs. I have a 18-55 mm lens a macro 1000mm lens and a 70-300mm zoom lens and this covers all of my photography.
