A lesbian woman was taken from her home, and held captive in appalling conditions. In Israel, she had the right to express her sexuality, and live with her female partner. In Gaza, a woman like her would have been executed.

She is a British-Israeli dual national, and the UK government did nothing to campaign for her release either.

The world was, and still is silent.

Emily Damari says she hid her homosexuality from Hamas captors - i24NEWS

The former hostage recounted having asked one of his jailers what he would do if he discovered his brother was homosexual – His response: 'I would kill him'

Wrong type of woman probably, she’s one of those old fashioned biological women not the stunning and brave new kind! I sort of understand the UK’s reticence I’d of been concerned that campaigning for her could of generated “special attention” from her captors and we’d of been watching a tape of her execution.

Maya Poet speaks of when she lived in Israel of how some of her Gaza homosexual friends (young men) just became suddenly and silently … unavailable. She was living as a trans man at the time.

Morningsleepin · 20/10/2025 04:16

I would be interested to see examples of Hamas killing homosexuals, could you post some please

You want people to post examples of terrorists killing homosexuals? Weird.

jeaux90 · 20/10/2025 06:33

Yeah I find the gays for Gaza thing like Turkeys for Christmas.

Unavailable as in unavailable for dating or unavailable as in uncontactable?
And yes I agree with the previous comments that it was a safety risk and turkeys voting for Christmas

Unavailable as in quietly executed.

Who says the "LGBTQ+ community" doesn't support her? Have you taken a poll?
This post seems like one that cares less about the issues than about feeding a worldview in which all political and social questions are reduced to the battle lines of stupid echo-bubble online point-scoring, in which everyone has to be Team A or Team B, and everyone in whichever team you are not in has to be uniformly wicked and hypocritical.

PollyBell · 20/10/2025 07:53

Because they are not some collective, like men women or children or any other labelled group not everyone thinks the same

SunnieShine · 20/10/2025 07:56

Slightly off topic but there is no such thing as a LGBTQ+ "community".
