Wegovy

Please forgive me for posting this in AIBU. I know there is a whole weight loss section - I am shamelessly posting for traffic as I don't seem to be getting much luck on that board on the topic of Wegovy!

For those that use weight loss injections, I'm wondering if anyone has made the change from Mounjaro to Wegovy - or if you have only ever used Wegovy - and have had much success?

I had a baby 11 months ago, stopped breastfeeding two months ago and unfortunately have not been able to shift the 3 extra stone of baby weight that I have acquired (for a bit of context, this well and truly puts me in the obese category!). I have been wanting to give weight loss injections a go, but Mounjaro is just totally out of my budget since they whacked up the prices!

Anyway, I'm hoping some of you can give me your honest opinions on Wegovy, whether they're positive or negative.

Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend 😀

My friend has been using it with great success.

If you go to the weight loss section the second thread down is exactly this question and has something like 70 replies. Not trying to police you, but if you want a quick response, just read that.

I’ve made the change. I was in 15mg of Mounjaro, but the price became insane. Switch to Wegovy, on the lowest dose so it’s not really kicked in … much fewer side effects though

I’ve started using wegovy, whilst my brother uses mounjaro. He’s been on it for 5 months and has lost 5 stone, I’ve been on it for 3 weeks and have lost 10lbs so I’d say they’re pretty comparable in our example at present. We live together and are both feeling the same effects of supressed appetite, feeling full very quickly, lack of food noise etc.
It’s worth a shot, definitely.

I’ve just switched and I was on 10mg of MJ and they allowed me to skip the first dose so I’m barely noticing and I’m hungry and not feeling suppressed. But I don’t get suppression until 7.5 so it’s not surprising to me

Price was my deciding factor.

How many stones overweight is required for WLI?
