To wonder is it weird to send my friend a photo of other friends they haven’t met?

My best friend moved to another country five years ago. They started watching a tv series because of me and now they love it.

in the last two years I’ve made a great new group of friends. I had them all over tonight for a watch party to watch the show and have snacks and drinks. During it my best friend messaged to say they were binge watching the show and thinking of me.

would it be weird to send a photo of all my friends with the funny tv themed decorations if they’ve never met them? I know I’m overthinking but I don’t want them to think ‘why is she sending me this, I don’t know these people’

I'd send it! Especially if you've ever talked about your new group of friends to your best friend. I would like to get something like that from a friend.

Well, presumably you’ve mentioned them to her from time to time?

LoisLaneKent · 19/10/2025 00:54

Ok well that’s nice to hear @SparklyCardigan

i think I’m overthinking as I recently had a chat with a friend who said she never wants to see photos of friends other friends because she doesn’t care. I found it a bit ott but it stuck in my head!

Yes occasionally - obviously doesn’t know them directly. It’s something to share - it’s hard to when you’re friends but not living a shared life anymore (long distance)

Sounds like quite a fun pic to send, I guess the fact that you're watching that particular tv show makes it relevant

This is your best friend?

Rogerthat14 · 19/10/2025 06:33

Is this the friend to visited and only bought herself a concert ticket?

I have a long time friend I never see because she lives abroad. From time to time she sends me random group photos of herself and husband out for meals with people I don’t know. .
It’s a window on her world I rather enjoy. Send the photo.

I don’t think there’s anything odd about it. Whether people care / are interested or not is another matter. I think people are naturally selfish and often a bit meh about other people they haven’t met.

But its a snapshot of you life. No harm in it at all unless you’re bombarding people with irrelevant stuff.
