I used to go to college 5 years ago with a mature student who had a daughter, who at the time was 11. I met the girl once when I stayed overnight at my friends house and have spoken to her (the girl) every day since on msn. I have been through everything in her life and have heard every little detail of her life!

She went through a hard time in her early teens and got messed up with the wrong crowd and was using drugs and sleeping with men who were in their 20s regularly by 14. She was desperate to get pregnant at 14 and I was really worried for her future. I had my suspicions that she may also have slept with men for money on occasion when she was around 14/15.

I have just spoken to her now and I feel I am about to cry. She has totally turned her life around. She is now a 16 yr old beautiful young lady with a weekend job that she got all by herself and juggles school with her job and she has her exams on the way. She is starting one of the best colleges in the area in Sept and has such a clear idea of what she wants for her life.

I am so very very proud of her I can't describe in words. She always asked if she could be my childrens godmother when I have any and I was always worried of what a role model she would be but now I couldn't think of anyone beter. I feel a lump in my throat!!!
