I keep receiving deliveroo/just eat orders for the block of flats at the end of our road.

I tell the driver I haven't ordered it, tonight is the 5th time it's happened this month!

AIBU if I just stop answering the door?

Eat them

Runningismyhappyplace50 · 16/10/2025 20:10

Have you made your neighbours aware? They could add a note to the delivery address which might help.

5 times is ridiculous, I wouldn’t answer the door.

BallerinaRadio · 16/10/2025 20:10

Not answer the door? I'd keep it open permanently 😂

Goldpanther · 16/10/2025 20:13

The address for the block of flats is something like
"5, Meadow House
Aspall Road"

And my address is
5, Aspall Road.

So I suspect the drivers think we have a house number and name.

It is ridiculous, it's 8pm, I've had tea, baby is in bed and someone is knocking on the door!!

The drivers have technically got the right address I guess? If the neighbours don't put the actual building number of the flats, they'll never get their orders. What wallys.

CheeseWisely · 16/10/2025 20:18

Pop a note on the door saying Meadow House is the block of flats?

Goldpanther · 16/10/2025 20:19

The drivers have technically got the wrong address, the block of flats are just named Meadow House, I think it's the House part that causes the confusion.

To be serious though just stick a note on your door saying you are not that address. Once they've seen it a few times they'll know.

roseymoira · 16/10/2025 20:27

I used to have this exact same situation with a block of flats. They were ordering some kind of curry breakfast at 10am 🤢

MoominMai · 16/10/2025 20:31

It seems flats easily confuse drivers unfortunately. I remember once when I rented in a group of flats, not mega and off a regular main road and I was poorly amd alone and just done a rare online shop and got a message saying ‘driver cannot locate you and has turned back!’. I was so upset, I remember when I felt better emailing the large chain and they sent me a voucher for a lemon roulade of all things! 😅. Was almost 10 years ago but I still feel the pain of that missed delivery!

Am I the only person who thought I would bloody love this?
