Help me get the only thing my daughter wants for Christmas. Anyone work for NEXT?

As title says my daughter has only asked for one thing for Christmas. This coat in a size medium, but it’s not in stock anywhere near me. I keep checking on website for delivery but they go out of stock everytime any comes in. If you work for next can you tell me what time of day the website is updated with stock to give me the best chance? These are the kind of threads I remember, the ones where human kindness shines through.

There have been a couple recently, one where an OPs child left their beloved toy in a hotel room and one where an OP was trying to locate a book from their childhood. Both times loads of posters got involved to try and help and both had lovely happy endings. IIRC a poster near the hotel went and claimed the toy and someone send the book OP a copy they had when they were unable to locate one.

No I thought they were only available in London. I hope I’m wrong as I have a few days off soon and can go and check. Thank you!

Why has this made me weirdly emotional?

yesterday I read it thinking it signifies the mama daughter bond where their happiness is everything (even when logically , we all know even as the biggest chronic shopperholic here.c that similar coat would be ok!)

and now everyone helping. Going out of your way to bring kindness to others really is the fundamental core of life and the only way our babies will grow up in a better world ….: uch happy heart over here 🩷

I disagree. It’s the ‘furriness’ of that Next one that makes it so appealing.

And the hood.
Many of the others don't have one & OP said that's part of why her DD wanted that exact coat.

When I first wrote this post someone suggested I email next, so I did. They replied to me today saying they aren’t getting any more stock in and all sold out, the only reason we see them occasionally going into stock is customers returns. So if it wasn’t for lady in Ireland I wouldn’t have had a chance. It makes me more grateful x

No she’s not fussed about it having the next label she just loves that specific coat, everything about it, colour, how it’s short, but baggy, the hood, everything. She would still have loved it if it was from primark or a charity shop. She will be over the moon she will be getting one x

Ireland lady (plus the others who offered!) - you are a wonderful person. Not as fun as a lovely coat, but I have just passed on ‘your kindness’ to someone else randomly as a little thanks for giving us faith in humans.

@Jcak but also you are fab as most mums (or dads, grandparents, partners etc!) would not have persevered like this and avoided logic (ofc there would be something similar) to make your daughter happy.

Please show her this thread after she has her coat so she knows how loved she is - always think it is so powerful to see someone talking so positively about you to others and the way you talk about your daughter is just everything I always hope to be as a mum.
