Finding it hard 2 take 2 bikes to school - kids are 7 and 10 and both insist on taking bikes but I want to find an alternative for them- easier for me to take home too if they decide they dont want to ride home?

Scooters?

Walk?

How far is it?

Feet?

They really don't have a lot of options.

I always preferred scooters to bikes - just much more compact, and get folding, lightweight ones in case you are carrying them.

Remove the option of not cycling home. They cycle in, they cycle home. You will not be taking their bikes home. They are 7 and 10 not 4.

Mine had scooters but the school had a massive storage unit for bikes and scooters to encourage it and it worked well.

How far away is school?

I wouldn’t let mine cycle to school because I didn’t feel they were safe on the road (especially not with 2 of them and only 1 of me) and they would be a danger to others on the pavements.

Luckily we weren’t that far so scooters worked fine. They were much better at keeping to one side and stopping for others on a scooter than a bike!

The three wheel plastic Micro scooters are quite easy to carry if you buy a scooter strap - the handle loop can go around the base to form a carry strap.

Why are you letting them decide not to ride home?

Then they walk home pushing their bikes?
