Light hearted. I dislike my mum's boyfriend. I am sick of his constant grunting when i ask him a question. It is like he is incapable of saying yes or no to a simple question. He is a terrible bus driver. He drives like he is on a race track.

I fancy Vladimir Putin.

Whilst some of you are arguing, someone said that.
(I fancy Rishi Sunak, no judgment here)

I see you are giving goady, spiteful comments to other people posts too

You don’t think your posts have been goady?

Why else would you post about having a million squid in assets and claiming £13k in benefits.

I mean… bit weird.

Facial fillers/!botox etc don't make you look younger...you look the same age but with fillers/botox

State pension should not be given to people who don't need it

There is no such thing as food noise

I only eat yoghurt and Berries for my evening meal as I can't be arsed to cook

Dollymylove · 15/10/2025 19:16

LoveWine123 · 15/10/2025 18:42

I’m sorry you feel that the only proof your parents loved you is them keeping your stuff for 40 years. How very sad.

I certainly didnt keep everything my kids ever made, if I did i would need a warehouse. I kept some mothers day cards and some small models they made. That's all. My mother never kept mine or my siblings stuff either

Andprettygood · 15/10/2025 19:16

Cookieandcandy · 14/10/2025 23:48

I get £13k a year in ESA and PIP but have assets of over a million pounds.

You name changed just to post this

so you must have had an inkling…. 😆

Err, because it is something I wouldn’t admit IRL i.e the whole premise of this thread

Why? Are you ashamed?
or do you know that it is rather… goady?!
not just in RL, given you even name changed to post it on mumsnet!

I told myself for years that I would get over my wife's affair. A decade and a half later, I now know I never will.

I hear you. 💐

HappyNewTaxYear · 15/10/2025 19:19

Lavenderandbrown · 15/10/2025 16:39

@HappyNewTaxYear. Simply 50% or more of the patients did not have POTS as evidenced by objective specific diagnostic tests. This news was never well received by pt or her dmum/ dad.

and it’s a young health care recipient who may incorrectly interpret your facial expression or words and be upset with you the messenger when it’s the message they are unhappy with

Oh I see! That makes sense. Even more interesting… so they were quite invested in getting that diagnosis then.

No mine didn't, I also remember in home economics not cooking something because her and my dad didn't like it. Teacher was not happy.

ChessBess · 15/10/2025 19:08

There is no debate to be had. High calorie high fat food and processed crap are what makes people overweight. That’s why the government are wanting to put taxes on unhealthy stuff to try to help the population become healthy.

Quite simply - you don't have any understanding of the subject but it seems you're going to plough on regardless, digging yourself into an ever deeper hole.

Notthatgameagain · 15/10/2025 19:22

TwinklyStork · 15/10/2025 17:29

I think you are selfish. Extraordinarily so. You put your desire not to have “clutter” above how your children might feel about you chucking all their stuff away. That’s absolutely awful.

This is crazy. My ds is only 2 so I have time to decide what and what not to keep. Having a loving home and being looked after everyday far far outweighs whether your parents gave keepsakes..you need to put it all into perspective.. I gave no idea if my parents did, never asked and would not care one iota if they didn't. Raising me is what they did for me.

TwinklyFawn · 15/10/2025 19:22

Sunday dinner is over rated. I find it a faf to prepare and cook. Then there is all the washing up to do. It just feels like too much effort when it doesn't take long to eat it.

Cooking Sunday lunch is definitely too much faff but that’s what pub lunches are for.

I think its the least faffy home cooked from scratch meal you can do.

NewBegin10 · 15/10/2025 19:25

I don't find that at all surprising. I think you'd find the same thing from most people or parents of people with a worrying and undiagnosed illness

I use sign language.
My life is not or ever been restricted.
Why well i was told to shut up i did just that.

This is interesting! Have you had any situations where you got caught out or an emergency situation where you really had to speak or regret it?

Agree with PP this would be a great AMA.

I haven't heard that since I was a teen! 😂

I regret my entire career & loathe my job, but I’m too close to retirement to walk away now.

What is your career? just curious.

PeonyPatch · 15/10/2025 19:36

I wish I’d trained in an area of work that would make me well off rather than work in healthcare where I’ll always likely struggle…
