Oh I miss booths so much! I used to live a 5 minute walk away from the one in Fulwood. I managed to find a tiny one after that in Salford but then it closed. :( so sad... I miss you Booths!

I love the Booths in Barrowford. I suspect most people, even the Booths’ lovers on this thread, could not pin Barrowford on a map.

I’m a north-westerner and couldn’t have done 5 years ago.

Barrowford is a lovely village with ridiculously cheap housing and good independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants but I genuinely think if Booths upped sticks and they ended up with a Morrisons or Tesco local there would be an overall decline in the retail and footfall.

My ex is from not a million miles from there and I don't recall there being a Booths around there back in the day. My ex-MIL would go all the way to M&S in Harrogate for her "posh" food fix.

@BewaretheIckabog estate agents used to love describing houses as ' convenient for the bars, bistros and boutiques of Barrowford'. You'd have thought they'd have added booths to it - keep the alliteration going.
