To wonder how on earth to contact TFL

I had my tapping ticket checked on the train yesterday. I tap in and out via my watch and I kept saying to the ticket checker that it looked as though a payment was being taken and she kept telling me that it wasn't, she was just checking!

Sure enough on top of my daily return fare, I have been charged an extra one way fare. I've gone through Oyster to try and work out how to get this refunded and maybe I'm being incredibly dim, but I can't work out how to do it, because the payment isn't showing up as an Oyster payment - if that makes sense. I just want an email address or a telephone number to call to try and get it sorted out. GAH!

I'm more asking for help, rather than AIBU! Anyone know an email or phone number for TFL?!!!!!

You need to make a TFL contactless account… you then input your bank card that you use and you can see all
journeys you’ve made and paid for. You can report incorrect ones and ask for refunds

Sorry, I have the contactless account. My error for calling it Oyster. The extra payment isn't showing there, so I can't do the refund.

Thank you for the phone number @Watchingthechaseagain

Is it still processing with your bank? It will probably just drop back in to your account within the next couple of days.

Your payment probably didn't go through as the ticket checker says. I find my phone, which I use to pay, often beeps a couple of times at the barriers before letting me through but I'm only ever charged once.

The money has most definitely been taken as I can see the debit on my credit card and I received an email saying that a debit had been taken for an unpaid fare, but I had tapped in and that was acknowledged by the ticket checker. It’s so annoying!
