while I'm off on maternity leave, do I need to put in my current full salary, or work out how much my salary will be while I'm off, or what? Obviously I won't be earning as much while on maternity leave, as tragically my company don't think I'm worth 12 months of full pay!

www.workingfamilies.org.uk/asp/calculator/
asks about maternity/paternity pay IIRC.

Your tax credits will be based on what you actually earn not your standard salary, although I seem to remember a friend was also told they would take £100 off her maternity salary per week whilst she was on mat. leave but that was a couple of years ago so it may well have changed. I'd put in the amount you will earn, ie if the £100 thing still applies its a bonus as you'd possibly get a little bit more.

Ooh, people who know stuff, even though I'm in the wrong topic!

Thanks for the thoughts. I'll try the working families website, maybe that can give me a better indication. Am dreading actually having to apply and having to have a conversation with them about it though!
