I hear you. I had a period of about 18 months thinking I wanted a new job, but eventually realised they usually mostly make you miserable, switched my focus to life outside of work and I am much happier!

You're supposed to balance it with being happy in the haze of a drunken hour.

I sing "I was looking for an X and then I found an X" whenever I lose something which is quite often.

Although I leave off being miserable.

Lol, I've been desperately looking for a new job for 6 months, as I was loathing everything in the small firm where I am (see username) - then I dramatically landed a fantastic job with a great package in a giant international firm. And now I'm shitting myself that I'll hate the renewed bureaucracy and be terrible at it. 🤣

It took me 18 months to get my current and yesterday I cried at work. For the second time in 6 months.
