AIBU to report ex for driving without a license

Have just discovered ex was banned from driving in the summer. He’s not mentioned it and has been driving the kids around for weeks. It’s a 6 month ban until January.
Would I be unreasonable to report him? He doesn’t know I know.

Report.
He’s not insured without a current licence.
He’s a danger not only to your children, but to the public too.

This, 100% this.

For goodness sake, why or how would it be unreasonable ?!

PullingOutHair123 · 07/10/2025 13:52

I'd report. If I knew, and he had an accident, I would feel guilty.

Drivers who are banned are significantly more likley to be involved in a collission.

I would suggest that you dont allow him anywhere your children or at least never ever allow him to drive them again.

Ok. Thanks. It’s very distressing. He’s abusive so I’m a bit scared to report him.

He won’t know it’s you who reported him.

I'd be wary that he might work out it's you, are you sure there isn't going to be a trail back? Even if he doesn't know it's you he might assume and take it out on you. I know it's very much the right thing to do but you also shouldn't put yourself at risk.

He is driving their children about so I don't really see that there is any alternative other than to report him.

Spiritofsharing · 09/10/2025 17:46

You can respond with why on earth would I report you, if you can’t drive it’s inconvenient for me, to try and throw him off if he thinks it’s you.
