To ask if anyone else eats all day?

I've always been a grazer, most days the only real meal I eat is dinner. I'm not a big breakfast person, so am up by around 6:30 and mostly don't eat before noon. Not fasting, though, as I have a tea with a splash of milk first thing and then a coffee with a spoonful of creatine and some cream after I walk the dog.

It seems to work ok for me, but almost no one seems to eat that way.

1 Hard boiled egg, 1 organic rye cracker with butter
left over steamed tender stem broccoli dipped in yuzu mayo
1/2 mug of left over vegetable barley soup (homemade)
1 apple dipped in kefir yoghurt
a few roasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds
4 Haribo gummies
1/2 leftover chicken thigh (with skin) and a few forkfuls of kimchi
1/4 of a mango
1 cup matcha
1 cup tea with milk, organic rye cracker with nut butter and thin smear of raspberry jam

and this is all in separate trips to the kitchen 😳

Why hidden?

I don't focus on my food. I just try to eat a freshly cooked meal once a day. I'll have a small breakfast sometimes and if I fancy anything in between, I'll have it. I don't beat myself up if I indulge in a croissant or treat. I focus more on being outside, walking, exercising, gardening. Life's too short to worry about whether I eat more/less or better/worse than others. As long as my clothes still fit, that's fine.

I have a hot drink about noon,my main meal at about 3/4 then some berries about 5ish when I cook for my girls, that's all I eat everyday

Greetings, I've only just seen your post this evening
God Bless You
I'm wondering about the effects of grazing too
On Friday I was informed conflicting advice as my Blood Sugar thumb prick reading was 6.9
Nurse said it was ok ish but most surely, didn't seem convincing 😔
Since some have said I'm prediabetic, someone even said they thought this meant full blown diabetes
So I empathise with your concerns too
Wishing you all the utmost very best
💚🙏💚

Yes, that's true. But why is that a bad thing?

Ok, off for my run, but I am interested.

Because of your insulin levels.

Lavenderblue11 · 12/10/2025 22:17

Just asking OP, have you got a history of eating disorders or body image anxiety? You seem to want some kind of validation that you're eating a small amount on your post or you wouldn't have posted this?

A grazer to me is someone that eats all day . Not 3 square meals ,

The only time ive ever eaten 3 meals a day is when im oregnant other than that I have nothing but drinks until tea time mostly with the occasional snack

What a weird thread.

The OP needs to be signposted to the Eating Disorders chat. One minute the OP says she eats a lot, one minute a little, one minute a grazer, then next only rarely grazes. and YES WE KNOW you like small portions!!

Look after yourself

I wonder if this is the OP that the OP the other day started a thread about her DM and her “tiny” portions 😆 .

I laugh but actually… must be pretty awful having this repeatedly rammed down your throat that your mum can only manage small portions

I recognise this OP @user112256479 from a thread in the ED forum and the basis of that… I suspect the purpose of this thread is for the OP to get reassurance that in fact she’s not eating much at all.
