Brit in the USA, for the past few evenings our house and our neighbors have been rocking from close explosions. They are LOUD, and shake the house and wake the kids.

Today it started early and our next door neighbor came over and asked DH if he would back him up going to find the source. DH agreed, I was annoyed so kinda pushed him to go.

2 hours later (and a few explosions) he is texting me pictures. He found a neighbor a little way down the road who was teaching his grandkids to make pipebombs! WTF. Now DH and the neighbor are hanging out drinking beer with this guy learning to make bombs. WTF

And where are you in the USA? I ask because if I call the police via 911 right now and tell them an adult is making pipe bombs in his garage while in the company of children they would be there in 2 minutes. 2 hr response time is 🤣 op.

Pipe bombs are illegal and there is nowhere except the absolute wilderness where police are 2 hours away. In that case you wouldn't have neighbors or a wifi signal to make this post. If I call 911 it takes about 2 minutes tops for police to investigate what would be considered possible terrorist activity. This has to be absolutely made up.

This is one of the America bad posts that pop up every now and again. Pipe bombs are crazy dangerous and crazy illegal. I lived very rural in America. There is nowhere you would live that is two hours from police, particularly if you have neighbors.

Why call the police when you can ask for advice on MN? 😆

Sounds like where we lived in California, out in the mountains with Sheriffs who had to cover the whole county with two cars and took forever to come out.
