Something Freaky Happened

Help me makes sense of this.

The other night I was in the shower. I got out and realised I was missing an earring. Only a tiny cubic zirconia stud, nothing expensive. I searched around the floor and found the back, but couldn’t find the stud.

I placed the back onto my mantelpiece. Then went about the rest of my day thinking if I can’t find the earring I’ll just order a new pair, as I didn’t have any spares. I don’t regularly change my earrings.

Tonight, I was getting into bed and lo and behold my earring stud AND THE BACK were next to each other under my duvet.

I ran downstairs and the back I found on the bathroom floor is still on my mantelpiece.

I live alone and single. So it’s not another woman’s haha. What the hell is going on?

You found the back to a different earring and put it on the mantelpiece.

the ones you lost ended up in your bed somehow - could have been wrapped up in the duvet and ended up under the duvet when you made the bed…

I don’t have any different earrings. I have worn these studs for years. I sweep and mop my bathroom floor once a week. Honestly fuck knows where this random back has come from.
