Daughter having surgery tomorrow and has a blocked stuffy nose AIBU to worry it will be cancelled?

She isn’t unwell - no fever or anything- but is pretty stuffy and sniffly.

would it be enough to cancel a planned op? (Spinal fusion)

my anxiety is sky high

It’s totally up to the anaesthetist. I’ve known some to go ahead and some not. She will likely be positioned face down which makes anaesthetists more cautious any way.

We had a surgery (plastics) in summer and they were ok with a sniffle just checked temp, chest and that we hadn't loaded them up on calpol. Hope its similar for you 🤞
