Anyone with experience of this??!
My lad has had a Core stunt scooter since 29th may. He does take it to the skatepark a few times a week but he's by no means even close to "pro" standard and mostly just whizzes around on it, getting the occasional few inches of air as they do but nothing mad. I should add he's 10 years old, and super skinny to boot (less than 30kg, the scooter has a max weight of 100kg).
Anyway, Two weeks ago the stem snapped! Right near the bottom. He was just riding it around the park as well, not even in the skatepark.
I emailed Core and they basically said, sorry - outside of the warrantee! Which looking into it seems to be just 90 days (maximum, some parts are just 30 days)! I mean, wtf??! Any other product with that lifespan would be deemed not fit for purpose, surely?!
Has anyone any experience of similar? Verging on twitter/X- Shaming but not even sure this would work?!
How can a 3 month lifespan be legal?? Anyone any suggestions? Further correspondence from me (IE basically ranting) has prompted the following response:
"We understand your frustration however this is our warranty that we stand by.
We would be happy to offer you a discount for 20% for a replacement scooter if you wish?"
I mean, like I would buy another one!? I don't know whether to laugh or cry, it was £100! 😂🤣ðŸ˜
