Snotty woman in Boden dress let her DD 23 months start eating an apple

Before she paid for it.

I asked her not to do it in future and she flared her nostrils. AIBU to think she was rude and wrong?

Ha!

lisad123 · 03/06/2008 17:00

now why does the boden dress matter?? you have something again boden LOL
I mean honestly no YNBU, I mean it like stealing right

SupermarketCashier · 03/06/2008 17:06

Funnily enough, her Hotchpotch dress was alarmingly similar to my uniform.

I asked her: "Would you like a Bag for Life, Madam?" and she replied: "No, I'll just have 27 free carriers." No please, no sorry. And she bought Ecover cleaning products and an E cloth set. Illogical rather than ecological I thought.

wow you must have nice uniforms, where do you work??
27 bags?? is that one for every half eaten apple

katebee · 03/06/2008 17:09

she will probably use a few of the bags to line her pedal bin...not sure if she needed 27 though!

IorekByrnison · 03/06/2008 17:11

Swedes?

only1malteaser · 03/06/2008 17:15

LOL I read a post earlier about a woman that was annoyed because her daughter took two bites out of an apple before it was weighed and the shop assisstant told her not to let her do that!
Was it you??
ps I have to buy the prepacked fruit and food because my ds eats his way round supermarket

pleasecutmygrass · 03/06/2008 17:15

You must be utterly furious SupermarketCashier, and rightly so. Before it had been weighed I take it?! At least if it had been a fruit shoot you could still have scanned it. Boden-wearing trouble maker . . .

cameroonmama · 03/06/2008 17:20

never trust a woman wearing Boden, that's what I say

lisad123 · 03/06/2008 17:20

did she have a nice handbag to match too?

only1malteaser · 03/06/2008 17:20

I don't know how to link threads but if you look in AIBU, heading is: To be furious.
Might be good to read it from Boden ladies point of view?

katebee · 03/06/2008 17:21

the snotty Boden woman was most unreasonable as she gave her child an apple to eat covered in germs and pesticides..she should have washed it first

chipmonkey · 03/06/2008 17:35

[wink

MargaretMountford · 03/06/2008 17:37

yawn.. boring Boden bashing excuse

fullmoonfiend · 03/06/2008 17:37

she shoulda stuck to sausage roll snaffling and secret fruit-shoot sucking like every other self-respecting mumsnetter.

Desiderata · 03/06/2008 17:42

Yes, Margaret. That's exactly what it is ..

FossilSister · 03/06/2008 17:55

My kids wear Boden but only from E-bay. Where do I stand?

pleasecutmygrass · 03/06/2008 18:05

Anywhere but SupermarketCashier's queue thank you very much!

If yo ubuy your Boden stuff from Ebay, etc, then i'm afraid you're the worst kind of MNer - a Boden WANNABE.

posieparker · 03/06/2008 19:48

I don't wear boden, more of a Mamas and Papas/push/crave/Isabella wearer right now!! I do buy french stick (not baguette!) for the 'keeping the children quiet whilst shopping' purpose and always forget to eat it while it goes hard on the sideboard!!

UnquietDad · 03/06/2008 19:53

That's funny.
You know you've been on here too long when you start getting people's in-jokes.

posieparker · 03/06/2008 20:01

Just for blousy, it's not often and only in one supermarket.... which I rarely go to!! I shop online!!!
