All time low for women

Why ?

Few men will be bothered to raise their own children alone.

PrincessC0nsuelaBananaHammock · 30/09/2025 18:32

Unless they have mastered artificial wombs, they still need women.

Geneticsbunny · 30/09/2025 18:39

The skin cells are likely to need to be from a female donor. Different genes are switched on in men and women so skin cells from a man wouldn't work if you mixed them with sperm.

spicetails · 30/09/2025 18:42

Why?

I think it would be easier to create an embryo without a sperm. In fact I thought they already had...

Looks like this was done back in 2005?

And women can carry their own babies whereas men aren't going to be procreating alone until an artificial womb comes along.

Ugh. Just because something can be done, doesn't mean it should be. Humans have a pretty failsafe way of reproducing already. Same with this artificial womb stuff. Who knows what kind of monsters they are creating with this Frankenstein nonsense. Its grotesque.

Geneticsbunny · 30/09/2025 19:04

Looks like I was wrong. You can use male skin cells

And how far away do you think that is? The answer is not very.

Uggbootsforever · 30/09/2025 19:16

I’m not worried. Embryos are are the last thing men want from us. Primarily they want sex and servitude.

Ok, well good for whoever wants to use them. No more renting the wombs of women in poverty for rich people.

RustedOver · 01/10/2025 18:49

I worry about regimes where women aren’t values, who can create young humans without females

I think the process uses a donor egg with the woman's dna removed so a same sex gay couple can add their skin cells and sperm, making the baby genetically related to both 'fathers'
So women's eggs & wombs would still be needed for the process Hmm

Exactly, 'end of women' talk ignores that this is also being planned for lesbian couples.
