And saw a woman crying?

She’d lost her suitcase in transit
all was sorted

KillMeMounjaro · 28/09/2025 18:17

No.

Was the woman you? Did no one help?

Travelfairy · 28/09/2025 18:56

Woman was there, her husband was shouting at her for running to loo before boarding because they missed the priority boarding...I felt so sorry for her...what a dick

I was next to a crying young woman from Denmark at the airport the other day. She was meeting her British boyfriend and they’d lost her case. He was very supportive.

Worriedalltheday · 28/09/2025 19:09

no I would have been pissed off too. She couldn’t wait to get on the plane and use the toilet? Or go earlier?

Yep. Not like the boarding is a surprise.

Yep. Not like the boarding is a surprise.

Sometimes needing the toilet is though.

They missed priority boarding, not the flight. No big deal.

Must have been cutting things fine.
Drives me up the wall when people have had ample opportunity to go to the loo suddenly absolutely have to at imperative times..
You seem well informed @Travelfairy was she unable to access a loo prior to airport, or on the plane?

Worriedalltheday · 28/09/2025 19:16

She sounds like someone irritating I know. Needs the toilet as soon as we set off, gets almost to the checkout and walks off needing something, just really inconsiderate and irritating.

ohyesido · 28/09/2025 19:16

Not an excuse to shout at her. I’ve thus far avoided ever having to use a plane toilet. Gross

Pomegranatecarnage · 28/09/2025 19:19

Due to a difficult birth almost 21 years ago I sometimes get no warning of needing the toilet, and have to run to find one there and then. You don’t know people’s circumstances so it’s a big mean to comment about how annoying it is.

Edited

He was shouting that she had just been but I have a kidney condition myself so maybe I had more sympathy than most. I didnt think it necessary to shout about her toilet habits to everyone in ear shot. She was sobbing poor pet

So did security/other staff intervene. What did you do?

PrincessOfPreschool · 28/09/2025 19:59

She was sobbing?! I would have told DH to do one!

Guess you never travel long haul then?!

agree with some PP that disorganisation is irritating. But sometimes you need to go when you need to go. Could be weak bladder after kids, or heavy periods, or upset stomach. Either way does not permit him shouting at her.

No it wasn't severe enough for security staff to intervene. I didnt do anything because I was boarding at gate next to where she was. I did try to catch her eye to just offer a bit of support. I hope someone was kind to her...he seemed a right dick amd hes a huge guy, she was a little slip of a thing 😔

I have ulcerative colitis and before surgery if I needed the toilet, I needed the toilet. It wouldn't be the case of waiting to get on the plane before going and it wouldn't have mattered if I went a million times before while I was waiting.

Obviously that may not have been the case here, but no-one apart from the lady and her husband know the situation. Shouting at her regardless was unnecessary.

Also this! Honestly, why does everyone always assume everyone else's waterworks are in working order, just because theirs are. If it's not bad enough to be coping with incontinence at a young age, the judgement is crazy.

Travelfairy · 28/09/2025 20:41

Exactly, I dont think she was deliberately holding up a queue. Also you can't always use a toilet immediately when you get on the plane, sometimes you can, sometimes you can't until in air and seat belt sign off

OP posts:
CountryQueen · 28/09/2025 20:54

Why would it help if anyone else saw it? None of you intervened and now you’re gossiping on the internet about her. “A little slip of a thing with a dickhead unit of a boyfriend”. Really? Why?

Travelfairy · 28/09/2025 21:19

Relax! No one was in a position to intervene/was there at all. Not gossiping, I felt sorry for the girl thats all

OP posts:
CountryQueen · 28/09/2025 21:29

I mean, anyone can say “are you ok” to a sobbing woman 🙄
