Why does this scare me?

I've just had five grey plastic packages, flat like envelopes, delivered. All similar size - about seven inches square. They all contain a couple of pages torn from catalogues, books, magazines - like someone's waste paper.

I have just had a grey postage bag with a piece of cardboard in it delivered by Evri - my address but not my name, will be reporting to action fraud.

This is quite often a Vinted scam - someone buys something and the seller sends paper or card instead and sometimes manipulates the label so it has the correct name and a slightly different address. This means the parcel is marked as delivered, even though it’s not the correct item.
Vinted will reverse the sale if notified, but scammers hope people don’t realise in time, so they get the money.
