To wonder if people actually read posts on here in good faith?

Sometimes it feels like no matter how clearly you explain your thoughts, people jump in with assumptions, pile-ons or responses to something you didn’t even say. I know it’s AIBU and people love debate but I’m staring to wonder if there’s even room for nuance anymore or if it’s just about getting your digs in fast.

AIBU to expect a little more reading comprehension or is that just the nature of the board?

If you don't like the answers you get on here OP why do you even bother asking? There's loads of space for nuance but you're 100% wrong. People aren't deliberately mean. You sound grabby and entitled and you should try parenting. "No" is a complete sentence.

I’m assuming that @didntlikeanyofthesuggestionsis trying to be funny/clever?

YANBU - so many posters here don’t bother to read the OP (or subsequent posts) and just pile in, often thoughtlessly.

I find it’s 80-90% in good faith and 10-20% very strange people 🤣

I reckon it’s c60% good faith, but of that at least 50% is terrible advice.
