Can anyone recommend a good podcast to listen to? I like documentaries and crime, not novels or stories.

no annoying accents either. Anyone?

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of the history podcast series, especially lord Lucan and the Brighton bomb ones.

The Teacher's Pet, followed by The Teacher's Trial - An absolutely gripping case about a school teacher who was having an affair with a 15 year old school girl from his class in the Northern Beaches area of Sydney. Then his wife disappeared...

Serial - very gripping case examining the 1999 murder of Baltimore high school student Hae Min Lee and the conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed.

Casefiles - podcast series about true crime. Some very distressing tales.

It's not all about ghosties and ghoulies, there's some interesting local and societal history there as well. And no, I don't live in Biggleswade!

They’re very much not for everyone but I like Radio Rental and Let’s Not Meet. The former is people telling their true stories of creepy things that happened to them, think stalkers, being followed in the woods, catfishing, with the occasional paranormal story thrown in. The latter is much the same but it’s the host reading out other people’s stories.

Sherlock and Co! It’s a modern retelling of Sherlock and very entertaining.

Cautionary Tales (presented by Tim Harford). Excellent true stories from recent history that reveal a lot about human nature.

Extinct zoo - if you like documentaries you might like this. Fascinating stuff about all sorts of extinct dinos/mammals etc!

The Shrink Next Door (Wondery) is brilliant if you haven't listened to it before. If you enjoy paranormal kind of stuff, Astonishing Legends is fab.

I second British Scandal. It's very entertainingly told.

Death in Ice Valley is great.
