There must be better ways to contact hospital departments

A fortnight ago, I had minor surgery with a surgical wound with stitches. Stitches (dissolving) popped 3 days ago. Covered up the wound with dressings. Still bleeding and now pus! Rang GP as they have morning appointments to book that day. Got some antibiotics but said to contact the department to see if it’s best to get it stitched up again or leave it, Rang the three numbers on my sheet. One is a pre recorded message about waiting times. Other two ring once then go dead.

No wonder NHS are moaning about people missing appointments. Well if they are this department, how do they contact them?
