Court witness stress

I unfortunately have found myself in a position where I’m likely to be called to court as a witness against my next door neighbour re. a violent incident.

I am a single Mum with two kids living in a semi detached house to said neighbour.

AIBU to want to move ASAP? They’ve always been a bit of a nightmare neighbour but I’m reasonably relaxed & can get over most things but now I’ve no doubt angered someone who is demonstrably violent & I don’t feel safe in my home anymore.

Am massively regretting getting myself involved but I was trying to help a young person so my conscious is clear.

No advice op but you've done the right thing if its going to court it must have been quite bad. Is the person likely to go to prison?

@Helplessandheartbroke Having read up on the topic, it’s likely he will go to prison but have no idea when that might be. I haven’t bumped in to him since but I’m on edge a lot of the time.

Firstly well done on being so brave. But I agree with you time to move if you can

Yes, it was half on the cards anyway but the thought of staying here if he is found not guilty is horrendous.
