Ignore!

HardworkSendHelp · 14/09/2025 21:52

Is there a back story, what made her come out with such a statement. I hate that term not good enough.

CherrieTomaties · 14/09/2025 21:54

When/how long ago did she say it?

How did your husband react?

What’s your relationship like with her?

IHate · 14/09/2025 21:55

Context? On the face of it, she was horrid.

However, if you now eventually dripfeed that you’d cheated on him multiple times and embezzled money to fund your coke habit, she wasn’t being unreasonable.

Shortdaysalready · 14/09/2025 21:57

More importantly how did your H react? Did he stand up for you and tell her not to say such stupid, unkind things?

Spyweasel · 14/09/2025 21:57

If i understand your post correctly you are saying that you are way better than your in-laws. Why do you think that? Could that be why your SIL has said that you are not good enough for him? There is clearly something going on here that you have left out of your post.

7372dm · 14/09/2025 21:58

I'm not sure. She has mental health issues. Ive been made to feel like a worthless piece of dog s. One of our children is a Dr all graduatited well qualified. We no longer speak to her. She text my husband that he was her rock.. f off i think

If it were me I'd just lick my lips, give her a lascivious wink, and walk away.

OrigamiOwls · 14/09/2025 22:16

Block and don't let her live rent free in your head.

7372dm · 14/09/2025 22:18

I am quiet respectful a country type girl. She is a townie pregnant at 15. My husband now I don't know if he responded to it. He doesn't talk to her anymore

In an alternative world you are an ignorant snob...

Why would your SIL disliking you make you suicidal?

OP, with respect, this post is all over the place.

ilovesooty · 14/09/2025 22:40

That all sounds very strange.

CherrieTomaties · 14/09/2025 22:54

Ok so:
She has mental health problems.
She is a “townie” (?)
She was pregnant at 15.
You and your husband no longer speak to her.

You are well educated. (Despite the grammar on your posts).
You are quiet.
You are respectful. (Despite the digs in your posts).
You are a “country girl” (?)
One of your children is a doctor.

You obviously have very different lifestyles and there’s an obvious backstory of many issues. If you no longer speak to her, then why are you posting this thread? Why are you giving this headspace?

Are you currently drunk and thinking over past issues?

BluePeril · 14/09/2025 22:58

Are you drunk, OP? Maybe she means you’re not nice enough? Which seems as if it might be true, given your remarkably spiteful, snobbish posts on this thread.

BriefEncountersOfTheThirdKind · 15/09/2025 01:03

You're not that much better than her if your trying to act superior because your child is a doctor whilst hers was the product of teenage pregnancy

ButSheSaid · 15/09/2025 01:11

Are you asking how to react to the words of a woman from decades ago?
I don't understand.
