Racially aggravated rape and assault

Two days ago in Oldbury, West Midlands a British born Sikh woman in her 20s was raped and assaulted around 8.00am just off a busy road. The two suspects were white males who made a comment along the lines of she didn't belong in this country during the attack.
I am heartbroken for this girl, they targeted her based on her skin colour through hate and used sexual and physical violence against her to make their point.

This is in a diverse area that is quite familiar to me. I am absolutely petrified for my teenage kids and have sat them down this evening to discuss safety. They are in their mid to late teens and racism hasn't been something that has particularly effected them. I had it when younger but not much as an adult thankfully. I thought in 2025 we were better than this.

Op pull the thread because you’re already in the early territory of having your thread detailed by the usual suspects on mumsnet who deny/apologists for any crime or discrimination against none white/minority ethnic groups.

This is the most vile and heinous type of crime where sexual violence against a woman of colour has been used motivated by suspects hate for her presumed racial or religious identity. Then you have the dim lot wondering why all rapes aren’t hate crimes because their faux outrage is only reserved to further their bigoted views.

That's because the vast majority of white women are raped by men who are white. Just as the vast majority of non-white women are raped by non-white men.

That's why whenever a white woman is raped by a non-white man, it makes the news, mind you for most newspapers it doesn't fit the narrative if a white man rapes a non-white woman.

This is such an awful story. I'm so sorry for the woman involved, and so frightened about the direction our country seems to be heading in.

I saw a post today talking about how the current situation is about keeping our women and children safe however during the riots of those arrested, 2 in 5 men had been reported/arrested for DV so attacks by white british men on dont count .

Poor, poor woman. I hate what this country is becoming. The hate is getting louder and nasty racists are becoming emboldened, resulting in attacks like this.

The only tiny bit of bright news I can share is that in my town there were loads of England flags cable-tied to lampposts. Some lovely soul has not only taken them down, they’ve replaced them with flags with symbols saying “happiness”, “peace”, “love” and so on. I honestly did a little cheer when I saw them. It gives me a glimmer of hope that there are decent people out there willing to stand up to the current wave of racism.

Unfortunately there are a lot of women out there shouting at hotels at the moment too. You only have to look at this thread for evidence of the 'thought' process that occurs when they finally manage to rub two working neurons together - the reaction to a horrific racially aggravated crime against a woman is 'Yeah, but what about the immigrunts doing bad fings?'.
