To ask your mortgage rate?

We’ve just secured a new deal at 4.4% fixed for five years. LTV is 79%.

We were previously on 5% for two years (we only bought our house two years ago and that was the best deal we could get.)

What’s your mortgage rate?

Stupidly low so I wouldn't want to piss you off by posting it. However it does go up to 7.5% in 18months once it switches to a variable rate 🫨

ButDoYouAvocado · 12/09/2025 10:29

2.90% u til 2027 so we are
focusing on paying it down asap

Dozycuntlaters · 12/09/2025 10:32

0.99% until August 2026 - am dreading the new rate although I am hoping to pay it off before then - otherwise I could be in trouble.

SunnyDolly · 12/09/2025 10:32

4.2 when we remortgaged in 2023 (up from 0.99 ☠️)

Helplessandheartbroke · 12/09/2025 10:33

2.6% until may. Dreading it next year

Chobby · 12/09/2025 10:35

1.9% until May 2027

Sixredjumpersoneblackskirt · 12/09/2025 10:36

1.34% 5 year fixed deal ends November 2026, 31% LTV. Overlay as and when I can at the moment.

JacquesHarlow · 12/09/2025 10:36

How does it make you feel now @Darkling1 seeing all these different rates?!

Does it change anything for you, right now, today?

Justwingingit2005 · 12/09/2025 10:36

4.5 secured for 5 yrs.....
Was less than half of that until it was refixed

owlpassport · 12/09/2025 10:36

2.99% until 2033. We lucked out with a well-timed purchase and I had a feeling things were about to change.

MidnightPatrol · 12/09/2025 10:38

1.2% until the end of 2026.

Looking forward to my monthly repayments increasing by 50% then…

Absentosaur · 12/09/2025 10:44

This chart is informative. You can see that from 2021 onwards mortgage rates have risen. Then recently fallen a bit. It just depends when people first got a mortgage / or renewed their mortgage.

Lots of people will be on higher lots lower, than yours.

We fixed in April this year for 2yrs. 4.3%, 75% LTV.

That was down from 4.6% when we fixed for 2yrs in 2023, at 85% LTV.

Wednesdayonline · 12/09/2025 10:45

Our rate when we bought a few years ago was 6.1! Now a much more reasonable 4.5.

MrsSkylerWhite · 12/09/2025 10:45

Halifax is giving our ftb youngest 4.16 fixed for 2 years.

twistyizzy · 12/09/2025 10:46

1.6% fixed until 2027 with 30% LTV but will be paying it all off in next couple months.

flipent · 12/09/2025 10:50

I brought two years ago on 5.96% (painful!) fixed is up in December and have been offered 4.24% for 5 year fix.
71% LTV

Cutleryclaire · 12/09/2025 10:52

Just gone from 1.54% this month to 4.74%

There were cheaper options available but we really wanted an offer so that we can pay 2-3x the monthly payment without penalty. Which will cost us a lot less in the long term.

dontcomeatme · 12/09/2025 10:59

We had a tiny mortgage we had to port when buying our new home so we have an interest of 1.75% on the smaller loan and about 4.7% on the newest.

aCatCalledFawkes · 12/09/2025 11:00

3.89% as of last year.

OohRains · 12/09/2025 11:01

1.66 5 year fix until next summer

thesugarbumfairy · 12/09/2025 11:02

3.99. Re-mortgaged in 2023 for 5 years. it was previously 1.98.

Bushmillsbabe · 12/09/2025 11:04

We are on 1.25% until January, I wish we had fixed for longer, will be moving into a 4.1% fixed. Our LTV is about 30% and even then our repayments have gone up from £1200 to £1600 a month - we still have about 280k to pay off. I thought having a good LTV would help us get a lower rate but apparently not! And we need to borrow more next year for renovations.

Digdongdoo · 12/09/2025 11:04

5.74%. Few choices due to DHs immigration status. Still cheaper than our rent was and almost time to renew. Looking forward to maintaining our current payments and knocking a few years off!

Lemonyyy · 12/09/2025 11:05

2.19 until Sept 2027. Trying to pay it down, we're at about 50 ltv now.
