To ask your mortgage rate?

Darkling1 · 12/09/2025 10:24

We’ve just secured a new deal at 4.4% fixed for five years. LTV is 79%.

We were previously on 5% for two years (we only bought our house two years ago and that was the best deal we could get.)

What’s your mortgage rate?

Wafflefinder · 12/09/2025 12:00

2.67% fixed until Dec 2029, 25% LTV.

OnTheRoof · 12/09/2025 12:03

3.05%. I saw the way the wind was blowing in mid 2022 and acted fast, as our fix was coming to an end.

Stickthatupyourdojo · 12/09/2025 12:04

This week we’ve fixed for 2 years at 3.99% with our existing lender. Our LTV is around 67%. It will be going up £300 a month.

WittyUser · 12/09/2025 12:12

just fixed 3.96%, 65% LTV. At least for me it’s going down as I was on floating when I first bought 2 years ago

outdooryone · 12/09/2025 12:13

Craaazy low for another 6 years as I locked in for 10 years 4 years ago when most interest rates started with 1.something %

LadyDanburysHat · 12/09/2025 12:13

Ours is 2.2% fixed until May 2027 at 55% LTV. Saving for a large overpayment at the end of the fix in a high interest savings account.

gianfrancogorgonzola · 12/09/2025 12:41

we've always had base rate tracker mortgages and did all our affordability sums based on 5% interest, as was the standard advice at the time. in reality we've only paid close to that for very short periods of time.

Tessasanderson · 12/09/2025 14:26

1.8% until September 2026 which my partner fixed 4 years ago which was fantastic. About 40% left on the balance and we will have enough to cover it by then so mortgage free for the second time in my life. Last time i got 1 month of that feeling before we agreed to buy another house. That is not happening again.

Calamitousness · 12/09/2025 14:33

3.75% till 2031

AmpleLilacQuail · 12/09/2025 14:37

1.97% until 2027 😎

MyElatedUmberFinch · 12/09/2025 14:40

1.29%

Riigers · 12/09/2025 14:54

4.2% ish.

CalamityGanon · 12/09/2025 15:47

1.87% until 30 Sept 2025 then 4.04% fixed for 2 years because I’m an optimist 😂

HereWeComeAtLast · 14/09/2025 21:49

2.2%. Got another 7 years to go on a 10 year fixed deal which we took out. We weren’t sure to fix for that long but glad we did now.

Poetnojo · 14/09/2025 21:57

4.5 currently
We overpay by around 150% per month so hope to have it paid off within the next 3 or 4 years

BeefAndHorseradishSandwich · 14/09/2025 21:59

2.2% until December 2026. We fixed for 5 years in 2021 (thank Goodness) We’re focusing on paying down as much as possible before next year.

Maraudingmarauders · 14/09/2025 22:02

Just fixed at 3.84% after being on 1.69% for 5 years. LTV under 70%. We were pleasantly surprised, thought it was going to be much worse. Going up by about £250 a month which has conveniently coincided with our nursery bill going down by about £350 a month.

seenabeena · 14/09/2025 22:03

We were on 2.9% 7yr fix with a follow on rate of 7.75%!!! So we paid it off & are now mortgage free 🙂

TeenLifeMum · 14/09/2025 22:06

2.19 - we fixed at the right point thank god but it’ll go up in 2 years from now. We have enough income to cover an increase and are putting money into savings as that’s getting more interest than we’d save but we’ll pay off a chunk when we refix (hopefully).

To balance that out, when interest rates dropped, we were stuck on 5.5% from 2008 to 2013, so we haven’t always been lucky.

Hazelforever · 14/09/2025 22:07

We have two parts. One is 3.64% and ends in 2027. The other is 3.98% until 2029.

Dmsandfloatydress · 14/09/2025 22:08

3.76 fixed until 2032. Locked in after seeing rares rise every day. Paid to get out of 2 year fix at 2.7 too as have lived through high and normal interest rates so knew that 2.7 was abnormally low.

Mumof2wifeof1crazytimes · 14/09/2025 22:25

1.2%. We took a 10 year fixed term, we have 5 years left so we will pay it off when it ends as the early redemption fees are horrendous.

Same here - we may be on 2.19 now but we bought in August 2008 at 7%, 5 year fix. The next month the lender went under and was sold to the Bank of Ireland.

snowlaser · 16/09/2025 10:38

3.95% taken out in 2024 and fixed to 2029.

Sorry to jump on the thread but could anyone let me know if we were to pay a chunk of money towards the mortgage, would it make a difference if it’s paid before or after we remortgage, as to what interest we get? We need to remortgage in October.
