Looking at Bartholin Cyst images they seem to be lower down, this is just inside labia, a small lump, looks swollen and itchy but not necessarily painful.
Am panicking as I always do 🙈 have an appt with GP for Monday but just in meantime did anyone have similar? I was putting canestan on and having hot baths but not much relief. Its not mad itchy but it has woken me during night. I'm sleeping without underwear etc in case that helps. Any ideas?

Could you have been bitten by an insect, or have an ingrown hair? Have you ruled out a yeast infection? (I recently had one and it started out being really itchy on only one side of my vulva before spreading.)

Insect bite possible actually! I have taken oral med just now for thrush just in case. Thanks for your reply. I hate being a woman!

all I can say is hope it’s not Bartholyn as once those b*stards inflame the pain is worse than childbirth. But if you have an appointment on Monday you should be fine.

Maybe its not that then...its not painful, more irritating and itchy

The GP will likely swab for thrush, maybe prescribe some antibiotics for a week or 5 days, I'd also ask (though they'll probably do this already) to get a swab for BV.

I had BV before and thrush. This is different. I've no smell or discharge, just this itchy, tender swollen spot....I think an antibiotic might be needed though definitely

I occasionally get these and for me it's ingrown hairs. A pain (literally) but nothing major. Obviously great you've got an appointment to rule anything else out, but probably will be better by Monday :).

My appointment today had to be cancelled, I will go next week. Its still as itchy as it was last week but only in one small spot. Its driving me mad! Just like a little raised pimple (but no head). It doesnt look like it would be causing me this level of discomfort. I have put vagisil cream and similar on. Nothing seems to be helping significantly. I'm fed up 😭

If you can go to the pharmacy and buy some thrush cream, ask the pharmacist as they'll have some good advice on which to use. Try that whilst you wait for the GP appointment.
