If you have to treat yourself to something nice

If you have to treat yourself to little something nice, what do you do?
I got myself some dark chocolate batons from hotel Chocolat and some nachos and salsa from M&S.
I totally love M&S food, but only go there to get some treats.
How about you?

That sounds nice, I miss my bottle of wine as had a baby and still breastfeeding so no wine for me unfortunately 😭

Totally off topic... But you can have wine if you're breastfeeding. Not loads, but a glass of wine and a bit of chocolate is fine! My midwife said it's better to have the odd drink than feel too restricted as you're more likely to stop feeding early.

Your blood alcohol levels have to reach around 300mg/100ml (or 0.3%) before causing mild sedation in your baby. This compares with a level of 80mg/100ml (0.08%) needed to fail the police blood test in England, Wales and N. Ireland

Eyebrow wax

Allswellthatendswelll · 10/09/2025 21:46

V cold wine from a can (DH doesn't drink at home really so I can never be bothered to open a bottle). I am breastfeeding as well!

Bubble bath (I love Neals yard but any will do!)

Crisps and dips!

A really good podcast episode

CeeJay26 · 10/09/2025 21:52

An early morning film in the cinema with a large vanilla latte - by myself 👏

Icanttakethisanymore · 10/09/2025 21:54

A pastel de nata (or better still, a box of them if I’m in soho)

Icanttakethisanymore · 10/09/2025 21:55

A nice cheese, a new chutney and some crackers. A glass of port if I’m really pushing the boat out.

Icanttakethisanymore · 10/09/2025 21:57

A cocktail in a fancy establishment, which I drink sat at the bar on my own.

AllrightNowBaby · 10/09/2025 21:59

I always buy myself flowers, I can’t tell you the enjoyment I get looking at them every day.

JustGoClickLikeALightSwitch · 10/09/2025 22:01

A bubble tea

A tiny Lego set/blind bag

A new paperback

Torres truffle crisps

Really good smoked salmon

OhBobbins · 10/09/2025 22:20

Agree with lots of the posts here, mine would be:

• A nice pot plant
• A new mug - especially coloured glass mugs!
• Green and Black's dark chocolate
• A new book (or a charity shop book!)
• Dark chocolate ginger biscuits
• A new lipstick
• A perfume / candle / diffuser dupe. Lidl and Aldi do some good scent dupes. Madam Glamour perfume from Lidl smells very similar to Chanel Mademoiselle and is £5.99.

RaraRachael · 10/09/2025 22:26

A nice candle and a bag of giant chocolate buttons

PeloMom · 10/09/2025 22:29

A nice coffee (one of those that have the calories of a dessert and can’t be justified often 🤣).

Honeyandwine · 10/09/2025 22:31

A nice coffee and a slice of cake. A new candle, book or bath bomb or new pjs!! I also love M&S chocolate buttons.

Gekeos · 10/09/2025 22:32

Audible credits for sure.

FirstCuppa · 10/09/2025 22:35

I went to a bakery today and got a brie and spring onion loaf, went home and made a veggie soup with barley and opened my World Of Books order.
Then I accidentally popped in here and ended up spending over an hour debating Universal Basic Income <slaps forehead>

Cinaferna · 10/09/2025 22:35

For under £10 I'd usually go for fresh flowers, a new paperback novel, a nice notebook, a scented soap or bubble bath that is a bit more than I'd usually spend. Occasionally a glossy magazine, though they tend to be full of ads these days.

If I want food treats, maybe some Lindt 70% chocolate, fresh raspberries, a box of clementines or my weakness - ordinary Walkers or Seabrook ready salted crisps which I could eat all day long.

ZiggyZowie · 10/09/2025 22:37

Treated myself today to M & S grapes, nectarines, oranges, melon

I love fruit and theirs is pretty good

Connectingconcrable · 10/09/2025 22:37

M & S gluten free mini rocky road is lush.

There was a similar thread a while ago ,and I'm gonna post the same response- an eye mask from Amazon, cost me about £5 but I get the best night's sleep with it. 😴

Echobelly · 10/09/2025 22:50

A bit of patisserie is my little treat.

Can you please post a link?

Treats around the £10 mark, I’d go for:
Badedas bath bubbles
Sainsbury’s Taste the difference Prosecco, think it’s called Congelliano or something like that.
Boots No7 tinted lip balm
Chocolate covered pretzels or a big bar Tony’s Chocoloney
A decent bottle of Primativo
St Agur with a packet of Ritz crackers
Aldi scented candle - one of the Hotel Collection Apocathary dupes
A decent bottle of Maple Syrup
A new book
Chocolate Marzipan

Ant of the above are lovely treat.
