To think that blood on a bouncy castle should be cleaned up streight away?
I took my 3 year old daughter to a car boot sale today and she had a go an a bouncy castle. There was a little girl on it too of about 1 year old, which I thought was too young but never mind.
She then got kicked by an older boy and started crying and blood spirting out of her face. I was horrified and so was my daughter. The little girl was the daughter of the man who owned the castle and after the little girl had been taken away by her mum his older daughter said "Dad there's blood all over the bouncy castle". He just said "Oh don't worry about it". I was shocked and took our daughter off it streight away. It's put me off bouncy castles.

oh heck yes
I mean I am sure your dd wasn't actually going to catch hepatitis or anything but there really shouldn't be bodily fluids where children are playing
yuk

ew

YANBU - this should have been cleaned and disinfected immediately before any other child came into contact with it.

misdee · 01/06/2008 19:01

maybe he meant for her not to worry about it, and to let him deal with it.

eenybeeny · 01/06/2008 19:02

I'm going to go out on a limb now...

they sound really crap (the bouncy castle people)

SheikYerbouti · 01/06/2008 19:02

Ew.

Almost as bad as the poo I once saw floating in our local swimming pool.

eenybeeny · 01/06/2008 19:03

fair point misdee

but if thats the case it probably would have been evident to the OP?

mummyloveslucy · 01/06/2008 19:03

I didn't say anything as I was so shocked and concerned for that dear little girl. The parents didn't look that concerned and just looked as though they didn't have a clue what to do.

It is a fare comment eenybeeny, the dad/castle owner was stood there smoking and in all the chaos, no one gave the baby a cuddle or tried to comfort her. They were just dabbing her with tissue.

Sorry, but at "it's put me off bouncy castles".

BroccoliSpears · 01/06/2008 19:13

Wouldn't it make the bouncy castle slippery?

TheWoman · 01/06/2008 19:17

I'm a bit surprised none of the other parents had a baby wipe handy that could have cleaned up the blood.
The owner should have done it, but as he didn't.....................

mummyloveslucy · 01/06/2008 19:18

I though that would make someone smile.
