Saw a tik tok where someone claims they just did that

13 weeks that should say

What did they do, cut their legs off?

Createausername1970 · 07/09/2025 20:26

It's tik-tok.

It's bollox.

Coffeeishot · 07/09/2025 20:26

Id switch.tik tok off tbh, sounds absolute rubbish, even people on the jabs don't lose weight that amount that quick.

Or this.

I’ve lost ten stone in just under a year, and even that has been relatively quick.

10 stone in three months? I’m no doctor / nutritionist / scientist but I’d say it’s impossible.

LimbOnTheBranchBranchOnTheTreeTheTreeInTheBog · 07/09/2025 20:28

If its on tiktok then it must be true.

You could verify the information on YouTube just to be sure though.

Idontknownowwhat · 07/09/2025 20:30

Hah. Well. I've lost 10 stone in 12 months or so, I was all in. Eating less than 100g at each meal time, low sugar, low carb, low fat and exercised quite a lot.

So no, I'm not sure it is possible to lose 10 stone in 3 months

DiscoBeat · 07/09/2025 20:31

Just over a stone a week?? I don't think so!

soupyspoon · 07/09/2025 20:35

I lost 10 stone in 18 months after WLS. It wasnt quick, people think WLS or injections is always quick, but it depends

Was the original person on this tiktock thing 50 stone to start with?

I have seen on some of those american shows where someone is around 30 to 40 stone and they lose a couple of stone in a couple of weeks initially. Then another couple of stone in the next month

If they're just about 20 or so stone, then no, not possible I wouldnt have thought

Arlanymor · 07/09/2025 20:36

It’s not possible unless you are seriously ill. As with 99.9% of TikTok content, it is complete bollocks.

Bloody hell that's amazing. I've been lucky to have never had a problem with my weight as I've always done a lot of sport since I was young. However the discipline needed to train when I really can't be arsed is nothing compared to the discipline needed day in day out to do what you've done. Hats off to you.

And yes, 10 stone in 13 weeks is utter horseshit. The only way to do that is to be extremely overweight to start with, then either chop a leg off or die.

DustyMaiden · 07/09/2025 20:40

Lose 10 stone of ugly fat, yes get a divorce

Awobabobob · 07/09/2025 20:43

It won’t be 10 stone of fat loss though

Plum8888 · 07/09/2025 22:39

I think they were about 20 stone so big but not I guess massively so

ForgetMeNotRose · 07/09/2025 22:49

I think it's impossible. Unless perhaps you were gravely ill.

Tiredofwhataboutery · 07/09/2025 22:49

I’ve seen it on some weight loss programs but they weighed 600lbs to start and kindly people of that weight are often carrying a lot of water weight as diet is poor.

But 20 stone to 10 stone is half!

thebabayaga2025 · 07/09/2025 22:51

Maybe if they were in a coma on a drip feed.

I do find it incredibly unlikely too. Doing the math if each pound is 3500 calories then you’d need to run a daily deficit of 5500 calories to do it in 13 weeks. Theoretically if you did ten hours plus of tough training per day on a calorie restricted diet.

ARichtGoodDram · 07/09/2025 23:05

I've lost 11 stone and it's taken me 4 years to do it in a sensible way. Crash dieting I could maybe have done it in a year, no chance in 3 months. And I had a lot to lose.

Someone I know who was 25 stone dropped to 13 stones in 16 months, but they had terminal cancer and were very unwell through the treatments

Candleabra · 07/09/2025 23:22

Not safely, no. Or unless you were very seriously ill.
