What would you do with this weird room? Living/diner

Our house is a really awkward shape due to an extension put in by previous owners. We are doing a mini makeover and I would love some input.

The room in question is what we use as a second tv space and “formal” diner. We have a good sized kitchen breakfast room so the table in the awkward room hardly gets used (last used in March I think). Kids occasionally watch tv in there but we have an upstairs game room/study with the consoles so that gets used more.

I guess it’s somewhat useful as that’s where I put people who turn up unexpectedly as it’s never that messy as it’s rarely used. Just a glorified hallway at the mo

Our main living room with the posh tv and sound system is favoured by all.

What would you do with it? It has very nice windows which look out to nice greenery.

The black rectangle opposite the sofa is our tv. Did a rubbish job with the labels.

It was a playroom when the kids were young. Tried it as a study but kids complained it was too distracting to work from there as it’s open plan and used as a hallway to the kitchen/garden

Could you make it a kind of library with book shelves and a really comfy chair or sofa to read by the window.

Difficult to say without the whole whole floor plan.
Some seating by the window for the view and storage comes to my mind.

Can you post the whole of the downstairs so we can see how it fits with the rest of the house? But I’d make a lounge area overlooking the garden if it was mine and I’d sit there and do my knitting.
French windows/bifolds if you don’t already have them.

I was also thinking reading room/library. Maybe a table for craft as well.
