The documentary makers should have called her out on this, rather than pandering to her. At one point they actually tried suggesting to her that she thought she was messaging herself?! She got off far too lightly. She knew exactly what she was doing. Telling her own daughter to kill herself is unforgivable.

I disagree. Their lack of input was perfect.

It gave her enough rope.

They just had to let her talk and then let the public talk. I learnt of this from TikTok. How many threads are on here?

Challenging her would've changed everything.

This is another very good point. How can she use the excuse of wanting to protect her daughter when she contacted his new girlfriend’s mum too?!

It was just an excuse I think she was besotted with owen ( which makes me feel sick) and was jealous of Lauryn and then the new girlfriend?.

I see your point but I still think she got off too lightly. In the documentary, and also legally.

And they documented.

Legally she should be on a register, still in jail and forbidden from.ever having contact with her daughter who should be forced to undergo serious help.

But it is what it is.

Plastictreees · 05/09/2025 20:43

I think her peadophile behaviour was minimised in the documentary. She was clearly obsessed with Owen, who was just a young boy. The texts she sent were absolutely disgusting and obscene.

Her sentence is a joke. She should be on the sex offenders register.

Is there a sex offenders register in America?
I agree she should be on it if there is one..

The thing is Lauryn must be about 17/18 now it would be up to her if she wants to be in contact with Kendra .

She is in contact with her.
She is in college I believe according to TIKtok.

But honesty rules etc aside. I dont think she shouldve been able to make certain calls regarding this.

MidnightPatrol · 05/09/2025 21:31

The only part more shocking than that it happened… is that she is then trying to justify it (!).

Why on earth has she agreed to partake in the documentary… it suggests she doesn’t really see how serious what she’s done it.

Yes i definitely agree with you there.

TheaBrandt1 · 05/09/2025 21:42

The “we’ve all broken the law” thing. Err no love thats just you.

Monstrous. Hope the daughter and father go zero contact. Who would want the freak in their lives?

PamIsAVolleyballChamp · 05/09/2025 21:45

PegDope · 05/09/2025 19:18

That poor girl is badly abused and brainwashed that she cannot stop herself from wanting to be in her mothers life.

I felt so uncomfortable the way she was clinging to her daughter when the police officer came with the search warrant.

I think the school superintendent was right … she has a form of Munchausen’s.

Absolutely this, vile evil woman

regal23 · 05/09/2025 22:16

Or was it really her daughter and she was taking the blame for her ?

I don't think so Lauryn what around 12 wnwn all this started do you really think a 12 year old would have the capacity to think this through a d continue with it?

ShesTheAlbatross · 05/09/2025 22:29

WickedElpheba · 05/09/2025 20:35

I also thought it was brave of her to do the documentary but then realised it was probably because she didn't think what she did was that bad.

I’d already seen half a spoiler before I started watching it, so I knew it was a parent. But as I was watching I was thinking “but all the parents are here. And why would they agree to be on this documentary if it was them?” So couldn’t work out who it was.

But yeah, I agree, she just doesn’t think it’s that bad. “Everyone’s done illegal things, they just don’t get caught”. She thinks she’s like everyone else, just she got caught.

ShesTheAlbatross · 05/09/2025 22:32

x2boys · 05/09/2025 20:57

Yes I agree Owwn was about 12 when it began and he looked 12 ,she was totally obsessed with him her explanation made no sense and then she also ruined his second relationship.

I agree… but I don’t think it was him specifically. I think whoever Lauryn had had as a first, more serious boyfriend would have been on the receiving end of it.

x2boys · 05/09/2025 22:42

ShesTheAlbatross · 05/09/2025 22:32

So Why continue it with Owens next girlfriend and mother?

VexedofVirginiaWater · 05/09/2025 22:42

I thought it was interesting at the end - I think it was Khloe's parents, the father was a police officer and Khloe got the blame at first - well her mother said that she told the police early on to have a good look at Kendra, so she obviously suspected her - I wonder what the signs were.

Hufflemuff · 05/09/2025 22:44

She needs to be on the sex offenders register for the texts about a child! She proved this was about her obsession and sexual desires for him when she started messaging his new girlfriends family.

Hufflemuff · 05/09/2025 22:47

Anyone else think shes not taken 1 ounce of accountability for this either?! Shes like "meh, everyone's done bad things" it's complete denial about how serious and fucked up this is!

ShesTheAlbatross · 05/09/2025 22:48

x2boys · 05/09/2025 22:42

So Why continue it with Owens next girlfriend and mother?

Oh yes I think it became about him, I just meant that if she’d met him through the school or whatever and he hadn’t been Lauryn’s boyfriend, she wouldn’t have been bothered. She’d have become obsessed with whoever her daughter dated, and continued that after a break up.

TheaBrandt1 · 05/09/2025 23:13

She takes zero accountability and is only sad for herself at getting caught. She does not deserve to be a mother.

Bet if the daughter has her own child it will hit her even harder how appallingly she was treated. She hopefully won’t let kendra within 50 feet of a grandchild. Absolute unhinged lunatic.

Absolutely. And this has been reinforced by the lack of legal repercussions she faced.

It’ll be interesting how she copes with the very public response to the doc though.

HK04 · 20/09/2025 23:55

Felt sorry that Owen doesn’t speak to Lauren now. The parents now divorced and Kendra apparently living with her parents.
Just horrendous what she did but zero accountability or real remorse. Just glad Lauren has her Dad.

America had one of the first sex offender registration. Weird that you think we wouldn't have one. I totally agree that the mother should be on the list. However, thankfully everyone knows what she did so she's always going to be under a microscope.
