AIBU to think that saying you are "born on the cusp" is total bullshit?

In my mind Sep 22 will always be a Virgo, Aug 22 will always be a Leo and Nov 21 will always be a Scorpio. Please comment your birthday if you're on a so called "cusp" and say which sign you feel more like

I don't believe in astrology. I'm a Sagittarius: we're very sceptical.

😀

Normally I encourage people who read,
but in your case I suggest you stop.

A really unkind comment. I was contributing something about astrology to a thread about astrology, instead of saying "It's total bullshit" like most of the other comments. What a pointless thread it would be if every single post said that.

I have three children aged 16-22. I could honestly not tell you what their star signs are.. All nonsense.

It is a pointless thread.

Astrology is pointless.

This is interesting to me as the only way I can see that horoscopes could actually be a thing would be if the position of the planets somehow affected a baby's developing brain in utero (magnetic fields or something 🤔). You would then have babies born early or late who had more traits of the preceding or next sign.

Magnetic fields? Affecting a baby's developing brain? What the actual fuck?

Astrology is pointless.

Which is not to say it has no value.

What value does it have, other than reduce the agency people believe they have over their own lives?

Some charlatans make money out of it, they get value, that’s hideous though.

You don’t have to believe in something to find it interesting.

I am 24th September, so always a Libra - a day earlier would have been the cusp (sometimes the first day of Libra is 23/09 and sometimes 24/09 I think). I do have quite a Libran personality - but I know this is just coincidence.

If nothing else it would help someone learning English as a second language practice.

I guess there are those that have imagination, and those that don't. Although it's odd that a sceptic of astrology does, and another sceptic doesn't. Maybe it's all down to our starsigns ?

Hence my picking up loads of absolute bollocks from religions. I mean talking snakes ? Men dishing out celestial favours ? Do me a favour !
