If you want to avoid bullying just in the form of name teasing, I’d go with Layla. But kids are incredibly creative and will come up with 1000 different ways of bullying another child without even knowing their name. Just use whichever one you like.

I've never heard of people chosing their child's name using the criteria of avoiding bullying!
Hannah is a lovely name.

Needmorelego · 02/09/2025 00:18

I can't see any reason why those names would cause a child to be bullied.
Strange thinking.
I like Hannah best but they are all perfectly nice names.

None of those names are ones bullies would pick on. Model confidence and assertiveness to your daughter and make sure she eats healthily and participates in sport. You can’t stop bullies so the best thing to do is equip your daughter with the skills and confidence to deal with them.

Lina is my favourite name though!

You have clearly never been on the Baby Names part of Mumsnet!

No I don't go the Baby Names topic.
Now I'm torn between taking a look to satisfy my curiosity about this and the feeling it will be depressing so I'm better not knowing.

I much prefer Anna to Hannah, but understand that it wasn’t actually one of your choices 😁
