I'm fed up with having to replace them every few months because they have become so uncomfortable that they stop me from sleeping / I wake up with headaches.

I dont want animal products or memory foam. I sleep on my side / front. I tend to hug them which is probably part of the issue.

I dont mind if they are a bit spendy, I just want comfort that lasts longer than a couple of weeks. 😪

My favourite is a wool pillow but that's an animal product so not very helpful sorry. Keeps it's shape though and is both firm and soft

applegingermint · 01/09/2025 20:02

Latex? I’ve had my Dunlopillo for nearly 10 years. Different feeling to memory foam.

BuffetTheDietSlayer · 01/09/2025 20:06

Do you like bean bags? You could try making an overfilled bean bag pillow. Some people love them.

Mimsykins · 01/09/2025 20:07

Simba Hybrid. Worth every penny. I even take it on holiday with me..

Yes, I have a pillow from Braavet that is brilliant as long as I top it up with wool every so often.

The wool has started to mat though so it needs replacing and as I say, I don't want to use animal products anymore. Im not going to lie and say I wasnt tempted to make an exception for this though!

I dont like the sinking and I think they might be a bit noisy in my ear?

These

I converted my whole family two years ago.
They stay cool on the back so can be turned over in an instant in the night.

Off to Google. Thanks.

I love my Simba pillow. It's small cubes a bit like a trampoline jump pit. You add however many is comfortable. I've had mine 5 -6 years (with 1 cube top up purchased as I like mine quite bouncy).

Just goggling. The video makes the cubes look like those big foam pits. 🤣

I agree with pp, latex. I’ve had my dunlopillo for 2 years and will never go back. Doesn’t get hot or sweaty and I’m also a side/stomach sleeper and have never found a more comfortable pillow. Worth the expense.

I've used these and binned them, they didn't last any length of time for me before they were flat and hopeless.

If you have a harry corry anywhere near you, they have a vast selection of pillows that you can actually feel. I've never found anywhere with so many actually on display and unwrapped. It might be worth a look.

🤣 I've literally just said about a pit.

Edited

Definitely not noisy or squeaky and I don’t find it hot at all. I’m a side/front sleeper so have the lower height.

agoodfriendofthethree · 01/09/2025 20:28

We have the Premier Inn pillows and find them really comfy - so far they have lasted very well (nearly 2 years so far).

AlanAtSnapeMaltings · 01/09/2025 20:37

With the simba hybrid, can you feel the cubes? I am very sensitive to lumps in pillows.

I know you said no memory foam, but I’m a side sleeper and have been using a Panda memory foam pillow for a few years now. It looks like a solid brick on your bed but it does support your head and neck. Previously I had awful pain in my shoulder. I also like to ‘hug’ a pillow and keep a separate normal pillow for that :)

Espressoicecream · 01/09/2025 20:43

My dunlopillows are amazing, worth spending £70 on each one a few years back, never had to spend 20 every 2 months again!

We had these and they went flat after about 6 months ☹️

Dunlopillo - best pillows I’ve ever bought.

My daughter has one of those and loves it. Ive tried that and a few others but they are not for me.

I can't. They go inside a padded envelope.
